  • Who should purchase this 10-DVD video training set?
The comprehensive Intro course is targeted towards technical individuals who program periodically or full-time who may be new to Python or are already familiar with it but want more formal and in-depth training to be even more effective of a Python programmer.
The DVDs serve as a training tool to augment our live instructor training courses. For example, there are clients whose attendees cannot attend all three days of a training session, and rather than not having the instruction, the DVDs act as a proxy for those who have to fly off to business meetings. The DVDs are also great for those who attended lecture but may have additional questions or want a rehash of the material while studying the course notes.

    Are there any prerequisites?
The only requirement for the comprehensive Intro course is that you have experience programming in another high-level computer language like C/C++, Java, Perl, PHP, JavaScript, TCL/Tk, VB/Basic, Unix shell scripts, Fortran, Matlab, Delphi, etc. A background in C/C++ or object-oriented programming are helpful but not required. The technical requirements for the DVDs themselves are either a set-top DVD player and television, or a DVD-ROM player in any computer which can playback DVD+-R/RW discs.

What is the cost and how do I purchase?
The cost of the Video Materials License and 10-DVD set is $2,500.00US. This is the license that you are agreeing to when you make your purchase.

Am I getting my money's worth?
We are the best value for the money, providing expert training from an intensely enthusiastic instructor who is not just a "trainer" and Python book author but also happens to be a software engineer by profession; and coincidentally, was on the original development team that built Yahoo!Mail using Python -- in short, a cumulative track record that cannot be matched by any other Python instructor out there.
Our courses are highly-rated and constantly get good feedback from attendees. The Intro course isn't a watered-down "seminar" nor an "beginner's class" to teach you Python's syntax, either of which you may find being offered elsewhere. If you sign us up for private training, you will also benefit from the lab exercises designed to hammer the concepts home.

Do you have a sample video to make sure it is what I want?
SURE! We believe that you should try before you buy! Download this short PodCast or video clip to see what it's like to attend one of our courses! Note that this is not a clip from the DVD training set, but from the same course that was recorded at a different time. Use iTunes on the Mac, download it to your video iPod, or watch it in QuickTime 7+ for WinXP/2000. (M4V [5:51, 18MB])

Do you take returns, and/or can I get a refund?
No returns or refunds are accepted. If a disc is damaged or inoperable, we will gladly send a replacement.

What forms of payment do you accept?
We accept personal, company, or cashiers/bank checks. We accept credit cards as well. Although processed by PayPal, a PayPal account is generally not required to pay by credit card. If you have a PayPal account, you may also submit an eCheck (ACH/EFT) payment. For international orders, we accept the following types of payment in USD: international money orders and credit cards. Note that for international credit card payments, PayPal may require you to register for an account before payment can be made.
